Threadfin Bream is not easily available on retail outlets and roadside fish stalls because almost all of the catch is exported to Korea, China, and Japan.

Physical Attributes

Threadfin Bream is a moderately elongate fish with a long-based dorsal fin and a strongly forked caudal fin.

Color

The body is pinkish-mauve above and white below. There are five or six greenish-yellow stripes on the side of the body and a red spot beneath the origin of the lateral line. The iris is red and the cheek has a golden tinge.

Size

On average, the Seabream size range is 100 grams to 200 grams per fish. However, Other sizes are also occasionally available.
