Introduction

If you’re looking for a premium, meaty fish with a mild yet rich flavor, Cobia — locally known as Sangra — is one of the best choices from the Arabian Sea. With its thick white fillets, firm texture, and high meat yield, Sangra is ideal for frying, pan-searing, BBQ, and baked meals.

Cobia has a clean, slightly buttery taste, similar to high-end fish like Grouper and Mahi Mahi, but with a denser, juicier bite. It stays firm during cooking, doesn’t break apart, and absorbs spices beautifully — making it perfect for Karachi-style masala, grills, and even continental recipes.

Freshly sourced and delivered chilled, our Sangra offers restaurant-quality fish right to your kitchen.

Similar Fish to Try

If you love the firm, meaty texture of Cobia, you may also enjoy Mahi Mahi (Amloshk), Dhotar (Javelin Grunter), or Saram (Queen Fish) for similar clean, versatile white-flesh seafood.

Flavor Profile

The flesh is moist with a flavor that’s mild-medium and interesting. The dark region along the centerline has a slightly darker flavor and the texture is noticeably gelatinous.
